Air pressure should always be checked and maintained regularly. You will want to check the air in the tires frequently, especially when the weather becomes cooler out. As the temperatures drop, air leaks will start to increase for the tires. Remember to check the air pressure amount in each tire after it has sat for some time. Checking it after driving can result in a false reading for you. This can increase the chance of tire problems and an unexpected breakdown as well.
Pressure inspections for the tires
The air pressure for the tires can be found on the inside doorjamb for the driver’s door. You will want to take note if the recommendation for psi is all tires, or just the front or just the rear. Make sure then that the tires are filled up to that amount. Tires that are over inflated can run the chance of picking up sharp objects on the road. If the tires are lower than they should be, then they could blow when driving. Besides the regular tires, also take the time to check the spare tire of your vehicle. This is important incase you have an issue with one of the other tires.
