careful

You will want to be careful when driving on roads this spring. Potholes will form as it becomes warmer and the snow and ice melt. Always look ahead on the road you are driving on. If you notice a pothole coming up, try to avoid it, but do not compromise your safety. When there is no other choice other than to hit it, make sure to slow down as much as possible. Going over it slowly will decrease the chance of damage to the vehicle and tires. Since you will not be sure how deep the pothole is, this is important as you may blow out a tire if it is too deep.

Careful Driving this Spring

If you do hit a pothole, make sure to inspect the vehicle and tires right afterwards. If you notice any damage, make sure to contact us as soon as possible. You will also want to look at the tires for any signs of punctures or issues that might have just happened. Also be aware if the tire is starting to get low. You will want to have this inspected and fixed as soon as you can. Check the air pressure of all the tires regularly to ensure they are always in the best condition. When you bring the vehicle in, we can check the alignment of the tires. Hitting a pothole can cause the tires to be poorly aligned as well.

After hitting a pothole, you will also want to bring the vehicle in to have the suspension checked. Hitting a pothole can throw the suspension out of alignment and increase issues. You may start to notice the vehicle has a rough and bumpy ride as you drive. This is especially noticeable when going over even small bumps on the road. By bringing the vehicle in, we can give it a bumper to bumper inspection to ensure it is safe and reliable for you to drive.
