Maintenance

In the winter you will want to remember to have your vehicle inspected on a regular basis. Doing so will help increase the safety and reliability of it. We can also advise you when certain maintenance tasks should be done for your vehicle as well. The oil will need to be changed on a regular basis. Also make sure that the tires are rotated regularly as well. Besides a rotation, the tires will need to be aligned. This will help them to be as efficient as possible. When there is an issue with one or more tire, you will notice an issue when driving. The vehicle may pull in one direction or the other.

Tires

The tires will need to be inspected for tread wear, air pressure, and alignment. When the tires are in the best overall condition, you will notice that the vehicle handles better as well. One sign of a tire issue is how the vehicle handles. It may have a tendency to pull in one direction. This could also be caused from the steering, so make sure you bring the vehicle in so we can inspect it for you. You will want to have the tread inspected as well. This will help to grip the surface of the road if it is slippery or slick out. You will still need to drive with caution, but good tread helps.

Aligning the Tires

Also remember to be aware when the tires need to be aligned or rotated. When they are aligned properly, then the tread should wear evenly. This will help the tires to wear evenly when they rotate as well. If certain tires are wearing unevenly, you can have a tire rotation done. This will help another area of the tire to wear so the tire can last as long as possible. If you are not sure of the condition of the tires, make sure to bring the vehicle in as soon as you can.
